Mission

Operational Mission

We write about how AI is changing work, build software tools that use AI to help people be more productive, and teach companies how to adopt AI effectively. Every day: writers produce ideas and articles, engineers ship features using AI agents (99% AI-written code), and consultants train teams at other companies to work with AI.

Why We Exist

If Every disappeared tomorrow, 100,000+ founders, operators, and investors lose their most trusted source for understanding what’s actually happening with AI — not hype, not fear, but what’s working in practice from people who build with it daily. Software users lose tools saving them hours weekly. Consulting clients lose the only partners who teach AI from lived experience rather than slide decks.

The gap we fill: most AI commentary comes from people who don’t build. Most AI builders don’t write. We do both. We live in the future, write what we see, build what’s missing, and teach what works.

Who We Serve

High-taste AI early adopters living in the “allocation economy” — people who:

  • Founders and operators building companies and need to understand how AI changes their work, team, and strategy
  • Knowledge workers becoming allocators — people whose job is shifting from “doing the work” to “directing AI to do the work and evaluating the output”
  • Engineers and builders who want to ship faster with AI agents and need real workflows, not theory
  • Enterprise leaders (finance and tech) who need to adopt AI organizationally, not just individually

What We Don’t Do

  • We don’t do news recaps. Every article must have a thesis — “here’s what this means for how you work,” not “here’s what happened.”
  • We don’t do generic consulting. We only take engagements where our practitioner experience gives us a real edge. If we haven’t built it ourselves, we don’t teach it.
  • We don’t do “content marketing disguised as insight.” If it’s promotional, label it. If it’s sponsored, disclose it. Our readers trust us because we’re honest.
  • We don’t optimize for scale over taste. We’d rather have 100K deeply engaged subscribers than 10M casual ones.
  • We don’t do management consulting from PowerPoint. We’re builders who consult, not consultants who sometimes build.
